KU T.E.A. is excited to offer its members access to long term care insurance through UnumProvident, A-rated (Excellent) by A.M. Best.
Features of the Plan
UnumProvident offers members of KU T.E.A. the opportunity to purchase, on a guaranteed basis (No medical questions or exams), a long-term care policy. Members may purchase up to a $4,000 monthly benefit for up to a six-year duration. Additional coverage is available with medical underwriting.
Individual policies are also available on spouses, parents, In-laws and grandparents at the group discounted rates. (Medical underwriting is required on these policies.)

Policies issued by UnumProvident are totally portable at the same rate and benefit for members and their spouses. Policies issued for parents, In-laws and grandparents are billed directly to the policy holder. Rates are locked in at the current age of the policy holder and do not increase with age.
